Amherst Republican Committee Launches New Website

The Amherst Republican Commitee has launched its new website. Content will be expanded and updated on an ongoing basis. Feel free to look around!

Message from the Chair

Dear Friends,

United by the strong belief in smaller, less intrusive government, lower taxes at all levels and a strong national defense, we proudly call ourselves Republicans.

We believe that self reliance, among the able, achieves the greatest good for the greatest number.

We believe that for those less able, a hand up, not a hand out... that a safety net should not become a permanent hammock.

We believe that good intentions that are inevitably expressed in ever growing bureaucracies do not solve problems but perpetuate them.

We believe that the federal government's first priority is the protection of this country's citizens from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

We believe that service to others gives meaning and purpose to our lives.

We operate in a big tent. We have no litmus test for belonging. Join us. You will be welcomed with open arms, a smile and maybe even a little humor!

Ken Jones, Chair
Amherst Republican Committee
